Does anyone know why USCIS has not released any processing dates in December. The last posting (at least for TSC) says that it was released on Nov 18th and dates are as of Sep 30th.
Is USCIS just going to skip December and consider a full month of holidays ?

For all Eb3s along with EB2s with PD after April 2005, the movement in the coming visa bulletins wont be much encoraging unless the new Obama government does something significant about employent based category or immigrationvoice does a fruitful lobbying. The doings of something by obama government to employment based category is not in our hands. The only thing we could do is to help IV and help ourrselves by contributing to it to reach its financial target for better lobbying. Or else wait for the Visa Bulletin every month with great hopes, sorry dreams, for your PD to become current, and satisfy with your EADs for years ahead

Can anything be grimmer than U (EB3) and 01-JAN-2000 --almost 1999 (EB2) which it is currently?
It may be "U" (that's not grim for us for sure, we can take anything now --some have lost it waiting long... so try out?)
Or ohhh wait r they creating a new record assigning something like 1991 for EB* (India) rather than U?
U don't even see cars that old on roads :D

Man this sucks. I have been here for 6 years, got my Bachelors here, and now finishing my Masters. And now what awaits me is a damn lucky draw.
I seriously hope that the new bill gets approved, even if they don't approve the suggested 130K H1B quota, at least they should pass the clause of banning consultants from filing for H1B. The new bill suggests that only employers should be allowed to file for H1B and not third party consultants.

Regardless of the incorrect forum to tell about yourself, your story has serious flaws.
you are just telling us your side of a photoshopped story.
Even after you are here illegally, you can correct things and take a legal turn. there are so many cases where people who have overstayed or crossed over illegally, got themselves deported and or brought themselves out of the closet and applied and got their citizenships.
Also, bcos you spent 30 years in the country, you should be given a priority over a kid from your country who kept applying for a green card lottery every year, trying to enter the US legally?
to make matters worse, you stayed illegally in a country and did not follow the rule of law.

Thanks for the good work. However, I saw a major potential flaw in estimating the applications from ROW. The report finds the life cycle for a ROWer to submit 485 is 1 year, thus assuming little AOS applications will be filed in the coming year from ROW. But this analysis forgot to consider those ROWers who started GC in year 2008. A person who started working in 11/2008 is ready to submit 485 now and uses one quota, even if a person who just started working won't be able to submit AOS till a year from now. With this under consideration, I feel the spillover will be much less than initially estimated.
Please correct me if I missed anything.
Good observation, but the economy wasn't good in 2008 either and most of the time both PERM centers were closed for business. Chicago was closed in mid year and Atlanta wasn't working from late 2007 till early 2009.
So the number of PERM approvals would be very low. Assuming CIS cleared most of the I140 backlog as they indicated, their I485 numbers should include the recent ROW approvals as they become real backlog applications (backlogged by CIS processing not by visa numbers)
I am still waiting for the 2009 DOL and State report to validate this information.

EAD, AP & FP notice are sent directly to the applicant. If you see the status of AP as document mailed then you should get within 2/3 days as they send by DHL. I got mine in 2 days, my wife also got in 2 days
This isn't neccesarily true for AP. I saw the same status, but my lawyer got AP approvals.

As you say that the illegal immigrant lobby gets hundreds of thousands of dollars per month. Do you think any illegal immigrant is contributing this money. They work for minimum wages and have hardly any money to spare.
I think most of the money comes from businesses that employ these people to cut costs.
Yes true, the hispanic groups is also about 50 million in size. I'm sure these businesses are breaking some law in funding, besides employment.
There are large organizations that support our cause too, especially IT. They played a big part in positive H1 reform. Not sure if they were approached or they work independently.
It looks like were averaging $0.05 per IV member though.

do people expect 40-50 persons to fund IV for campaigns that can benefit 45,000 members, as they watch from the sidelines?

According to LC, my labor got approved on Aug 9th, but we received actual paper on Sep 9th .. So lost the chance to FILE 485
DOL took more than a month TO send papers ..
There is no point in blaming IV . They are the BEST ..
It is US Govt agencies who are lazy and ineptitude.
US did not get Civil Rights in one year .. it took decades of fight ...

Loved them all but I was torn between eilsoe and kax. kax's shadows are what impressed me most, and if the castle was populated or had a little more color, I might have voted there, but I instead took to eilsoe's because of the people and captions ;) It also embodies more what I think of as 'pixel art', which is very straight or isometric, not to say those that werent wer bad because of that; in fact that gives a more impressive look and feel, but I needed some fun and eilsoe delivered. What shocked me most is that there were more people waiting in line at the mens bathrooms... hmm, guess its mostly guys there. :) The duck reflections were also a nice touch.

you are assuming he has applied for 485. If he has not, (ie. started labor in 2004) then until atleast July he would be in the same boat. If his LC is still in BEC (remember 30K are still stuck there); then all of this applies to him even after July VB fiasco!

Unless there is a change in immigration laws it will be very true that you cannot apply for 485 in the next 5 years. To make something happen it is very important to attend DC Rally.

Guys, I have no travel plans for now. But as an FYI, If my AP or for that matter my EAD expires before renewal, can you apply for a new EAD/AP? :confused: Assuming you cannot renew them anymore, of course I doubt you can.

From what I gathered, you were just being a messenger and if you look at my post, I have never referred to you in anything. All my answers were directed to hadron. At the same time its a little frustrating to us when people repeatedly keep on questioning our goals/legitimacy. Being a messenger, you bore the brunt from some of us :(

For those who already received GC, it is trivial. For us who have not received it yet, it is a life or death matter. So please don't play with it. I hate to meet the green card holder who brags as if it were nothing.
