After I heard from the Infopass IO that my case is all set and it is sitting in the NSC examination room, I have been trying my best to get my file to the attention of an IO at NSC. This is what I have done till now. Don't know if this would work. If not, what the heck?
1. Wrote to my state's senators
2. Wrote to Ombudsman
3. Wrote to my Congressman
4. Wrote to the President
5. Have opened a SR
6. My attorney is taking an Infopass appointment to see why it is stuck.

Why don't you explain to everyone how is telling the OP that we do not condone taking or selling drugs something of a personal opinion?

It is also possible that very few visa numbers were available during May for EB-3 India.

bump up the thread ...or if you are a homeowner ..say that visa delays may cause your house to be foreclosed ..and this will add one more house in the huge inventory. either way faster legal immigration helps US in many ways

I checked with some of my colleagues and friends. They all have sent the letters, but most of them have not participated in this poll at the start. So I wouldnt get discouraged by smaller number of votes in it.

my travel date is on nov 21st and my RD for ap renewal is aug 6th. here are the things I have done so far.
1) called NSC and expedited mine and my spouse AP.
2) sent a fax copy of the expedite request letter to NEbraska service center requesting an expedite.
3) have sent all the documents to the local congressman and they are sending a letter by fax to NSC requesting to expedite.
4) Have an infopass appt for oct 28th.
5) sent another copy of the ap renewal receipt, along with 2 phographs, 485 and i140 receipt copy along with a letter requesting expedite with an email from travel agent citing financial loss if i cancel tickets.
6) also, my father in law had to undergo a bypass surgery (emergency) this week and we have received a letter from the doctor regarding the same and will be using it during the infopass if I do not see an approval (atleast online) before our infopass appointment.

but even with this big announcement tomorrow, we still only have 140,000 visas and keep in mind USCIS has just been averaging about 100,000 per year. (so about 40,000 get wasted every year)
All all this does is to push the bottleneck further down the pipeline.
the only benefit I see is that it helps with filing of AP and EAD which does not help someone like me with my 485 already pending

The fact is republicans don’t like non whites to immigrate to US and the democrats are color blind to most extent but they are class conscious, they like illegals and poor people to immigrate to US because they can control them whereas they cannot control and herd the EB immigrants.
"reforming" the US immigration system by introducing a points based system where even existing applicants like the EB folks who have been in US for the last 10+ years have to re apply in points based nonsense system.
We will all have to fight for our cause but don’t have unrealistic expectations from CIR. Our best bet is a non cir piece meal bill visa recapture bill that addresses EB issues seperate from CIR, it is difficult to get such a bill passed but the chances for such a bill are better then Obama-durbin cir

My biggest fear is "choking up of the already inefficient system"...currently we at least can apply for something and expect it to be processed in few months (longer in some cases), get our EADs and APs renewed, call customer service with questions (although don't get needed info in most cases), get infopass....when they try to deal with "blue cards" and Z visas of 12 million plus illegals, none of this will be available.
And I do not want to start GC process from "scratch" in point bases system when I have spent so much time, money and energy in the current process...

I received an RFE. But it was on accreditation of my MBA school. There was no RFE on bachelors degree. My lawyer replied to the RFE on accreditation. In response, there was straight denial without even notice of Intent to deny citing 3 year bachlor degree.

I am trying to understand the cause for this huge delay to issue either EAD or AP. Could it be due to a large number of I-485 filers in July 2007 that the agency is unable to handle the volume of requests (either for a new one or renewal)?
Has USCIS come up with any explanation as to why there is lot of delay to issue EAD renewals or new EADs? Could it be the US economy that is causing the drag on the agency?

Let a group of 10-25 people tie themselves on chainballs and handcuffs (or fetters) and march 1 mile to the USCIS office. Get this event covered by media..
Hold banners like "Free us", "We want EAD", "i485 NOW" and raise a few slogans
In addition someone can dress as Uncle Sam and pretend to whip the prisoners..
I have 2 questions. Why you think only I485 not greencard. Fight and get Greencard? Start protest self. Others join when one start. Why not you?

It is not good idea. In DS-156 you need to specify whether you are married or not. And also you need to specify if spouse/brother/sister.. is there is US.
Congrats suresh..it's good to see Dec 05 getting approved..best option would be to get your wife here on F1..Some of the schools required only TOEFL ..after coming to US get married again in US and apply for 485..if she is currently working in india..u can try L1 too....ofcourse for H-1B u need to wait for one more year..i don't think US embassy in Chennai will get to know u got married unless she tells them..there is no fraud or anything in this..i believe it's like..don't ask, don't say..ur not cheating anyone..trying to find a small loop hole for a very good reason..
