Using WINE can work but it isn't easy, I tried and wasn't able to get it working. I will have to try again sometime.
yeah that's what i've heard. i've also heard some people say it was easy, but they were running a non-gui version of linux. i'm not that good with linux yet

So let's see ...
I use Macs & I am creative (graphic designer/illustrator), but apart from that I am certainly no vegetarian, I ride a heavily customized Honda Shadow 600 chopper, I wear casual clothes, prefer beer to wine, would take a tunafish sandwich over hummus any day, watch Hollywood movies and drink Red Bull. :)

It took a "research firm" to figure this out? I don't know why people were expecting Verizon to get it before T-mobile. All carriers will get it eventually but it makes only sense that the one also using the GSM network will get it first.

After all the posts on Apple v. Google, this should really be pg. 1 news...
Agreed, but they need the drama to attract views.

So if I understand you want to use her Netstick to provide data for your I4. I think that's what you mean. If so I ask the Netstick provider or on a forum of Netstick users.

Its funny how all the macs are turned off and all the windows PCs are one :)
I think it's to hide how good OS X is. ;)
To be honest, this is a smart move from Microsoft. If there is one thing I cannot stand about Apple, it is the silly prices they charge. The Apple Tax is stupid.

Well then what was your question? That list is what you want: a list of all supported cameras. The 9500 is not supported.
I believe he was answering my question.

The iOS has some good games, but older games made for joystick/buttons/paddles don't quite cut it. I can't imagine Tempest with at least buttons (though the knob is ideal).
I like TRON and the game for the DS you have to use the touchscreen for some of the battles. The Tank and Disc battles the stylus/finger gets in the way of the playing screen.
The PSP version you just use the buttons, keeping the screen clear for viewing.
I think Sony's design of a rear touchpad on the new PSP will be the answer to a lot of "mobile touch gaming".
Yeah, the touchscreen isn't there for most established games, but for the games that can take advantage of it and don't rely on twitch movement, games that are more casual in nature, it's a very cool way to play, like World of Goo.
That PSP opens lots of options, like a real pointer. =O

I hope it fixes the USB connection to Canon cameras. They broke it with 10.4.7. I'm still booting from my portable backup drive when shooting tethered (looks really pro on location).
I dread the going-backwards-sytem-reinstall BS tho, so that's what I have been doing.

This is not surprising. All the Chinese resellers who were buying iPads in NYC are unlikely to buy the Verizon CDMA, because it cannot be used abroad. The GSM version (i.e. the ATT version) is one that can be used in most places abroad, as long as the iPad is unlocked.
What about all the white resellers?
Oh you'd never know who those were, would you? I guess it's probably just best to assume that every asian in the line is there to buy one that would otherwise be used by a toe-headed little white boy, while every white/black in line is just trying to show his support for his favorite company.

Hold up! 9% is and Ideal Carnot Engine efficiency. Real World efficiecny would be about 1/5. So, at most you are going to get 1.8W and thats if the fans dissipate 100W of heat which is ridiculously high number. I would see it around 20W, meaning your recycled energy would be .37W. What can you do with that? Oh right power partially a fan.
Sorry, where is this other .2 multiplier coming from? The scenario given was 9% conversion efficiency which would be 50% of the the ideal heat engine efficiency of 18% conversion efficiency.

Lemme' guess - it's going to be distributed through the app store, and everytime there is an update, you have to download an 8 GB install program for each update, ala XCode 4
Yeah, lack of incremental updates for the Mac App Store in particular is a bit of a problem.
Personally I'd like to see all 3 options thus proposed available for Mac users: A Mac App Store initial download option, a DVD, and a USB drive. That way, people can pick whichever one they need or want.
