99 bottles of beer on the wall,
99 bottles of beer.
If one of those bottles should happen to fall,
98 bottles of beer on the wall.
98 bottles of beer on the wall...
:D
Funny you should mention that because one time I actually sang the song and it took about 25 minutes for me to do it all the way through. :D But that's only just over two segments of an ESPN Radio show podcast....
(By the way, I always remember the third line as "Take one down, pass it around.")
But getting back on topic, :) I think this is a great idea. Especially if you listen to long podcasts like I do that can take about way over an hour per podcast. It'll be great for long cross-country flights, that's to be sure.

What I learned today: Mac users are hipster douches who think they are tech savvy, but still too dumb to run Windows.

This may come as news to you, but a single person with a single experience is nothing but a single data point. In order to have confidence in a conclusion, we need lots of data points. Data points other than yourself tend to mention OSX crashing on occasion, and tend to mention at least some versions of Windows running reliably.
Speaking for myself, I've had a small number of OSX kernel panics in a little more than a year on my home machine, dozens of kernel panics on my work Mac (which I don't even use much), and very few problems or crashes with any of the dozens of Windows NT/2k machines at work. In my experience OSX is less stable than Win2k, however I am not foolish enough to claim that my observation makes this the truth for everyone.

If I still watched those channels that pulled their content I would stop to protest. These guys are about as hopeless as the music industry (they haven't been mass suing people yet have they). Sucks for the people who like tv as their entertainment because the industry obviously wants to suck them dry over things like the ability to watch the same shows in your house just on a smaller screen.

I don't know what to tell you. Couple days after I installed 10.4.7 , major issues happened on my quad. I end up with my computer at Apple for repair and 3 weeks later they figure out a combination of 10.4.7 and my GT7800 card were the issue.
Now, I have a new GT card and I use 10.4.6. The kernel comes once a week. So the problem in some way still persist. I hope the new 10.4.8 will address this issue. If not I'll go back to Apple and request a new computer in exchange for the one I have.
I don't know, I love my quad but I have to say I was pretty upset with this whole fiasco. I wish Apple had a loaner program for professionals using powermac. That way we can still productive while the computer is being repaired. I would not mind to pay a little more on applecare to get such a service.
I have a Quad G5, GeForce 7800 GT, 4 GB RAM, and have had Mac OS X 10.4.7 installed on it ever since the update was available.
I have had absolutely 0 problems with it!
If this 10.4.7 update would have had a known issue with our setup, we surely would have known by now.
You are sure no hardware can be faulty? Any 3rd party stuff? No bad RAM?

This is getting WAY off topic, but...
@Cliff, my bad I remember seen the high speed crop also on the D3 series but I might be wrong. The D700 however does have a crop but also allows you to shoot your DX lens on full frame (which will vignette) but has no speed increase over the full frame mode.
There is no need to speculate when the manuals are freely available for download. The D3/D3S has additional crop options, but those options reside on the same menu I mentioned in my previous post. I replaced my D2X with a D700 a little over 2 years ago and so I am very familiar with both cameras.

DVD's are obviously pretty profitable or they wouldnt bother selling them, so what they are saying is if the movie companies let Apple sell movies they are gonna cut off their noses to spite their face and pull a really profitable sales line? I dont think so - ********* idiots.
Actually not really. I use to sell them in my store.
I'm sure they get a better deal then us but not that much better.
Normal DVD retail is like this.
DVD normal sells $24.95
DVD wholesale would be around $19.95
If I bought a case I would get them for $16.95.
This doesn't help when Best Buy and Target and Wal-Mart sell them at 19.95 for the very first week! I'm lucky if I make 5 bucks on DVD sales...then factor in shipping costs of the DVD's.
Selling DVD's is like selling comic books...you have to sell massive amounts of them to make any kind of money.
I figure Target and Wal-Mart make around 3-5 bucks on each DVD they sell.
Some folks ask us to match Wal-Marts and Targets and Best Buy pricing...but we can't normally. We can't even make any money of them now.
I once had a DVD for sale. It was priced at 24.95. I paid 19.95 for it. I marked it down to 20.95..to move it. Guy comes in to tell me Best Buy sells the same DVD for 14.99!

Excuse me, I was talking about consumer pickup trucks, not large16+ Ton HD shipping trucks.
well you said "large" trucks ;)
the problem with pick up market is that the US manufacturers still have problems of selling theirs worldwide in emerging markets opposed to toyota etc.
and in europe and japan there simply is not much of demand for them apart of the novelty factor
edit: one of the problems of the US car industry sometimes is the thinking of a "this years model" which from time to time surfaces again and again, Perhaps not so much with the companies but with consumers.

Try upgrading to 2.0. I just tested on Firefox 2.0 on OS X and it worked fine.

That's what I figured. I've got an online order in already but I might as well give waiting in line one more shot, what have I got to loose?

Most political interest groups or whatever you may call them tend to sooner or later be a hindrance to integration that a benefit. It is in their very nature as their mission is to watch out for the interest of their constituents. Sooner or later that will lead to trying to carve out special privileges.
Also most of these interest groups do not truly represent the majority of the people they claim to represent anyways.
Doesn't matter what group that is, racial, ethnic, religious, industry, social etc.. Politics would benefit most from banning all of them from the political discourse.

Federal Agency Will Review a Kodak Patent Claim.
A federal agency has decided to review Eastman Kodaks patent claim against Apple and Research In Motion. The International Trade Commission said Friday it would look at a judges finding in January that Apples iPhone and RIMs BlackBerry do not violate a 2001 Kodak image-preview patent. The favorable decision revives Kodaks hopes of negotiating royalties worth $1 billion or more. The agencys six commissioners will decide by May 23 whether to alter the initial determination by its chief administrative judge or let it stand.
