- doesn't work on firefox (1.5) under WinXP
- still can't use an email address other than mac.com email address as "reply to"
At least they have fixed it so that it properly quotes previous emails in replies!
the hell if it doesn't
works fine for me :D

On my way home last night from a wedding I noticed gas anywhere from 3.49 to 3.66 for 87 octane.

"There is no such thing as bad publicity."
Off topic, but I've worked for Toyota for 13 years. I have a relative that has owned a BP station for several years. (Well, Marathon, now.) There is such thing a bad publicity. ;) But, I know, its a popular and almost true expression, I'm just being a butthead!

Are you saying you're happy it costs $99? You don't want to pay less, no? The more complaining and bad feedback we give Apple that this service is simply too expensive the better, and the better chance we have they will begin to pay attention to loads (http://www.google.com/search?client=safari&rls=en&q=.Mac%20too%20expensive&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8) of posts/blogs/and stories on this. I feel sick when I have to tell someone how much it costs. I mean they say .Mac syncing is included! You have to pay to sync computers that you payed money for, and worse still you have to give it to the company you bought the computers from?? Give me a break! GMail is free too. iWeb provides little bandwidth, and the whole this is wrapped-up with a tiny storage package. And I don't think the solution is for Apple to give us more storage. I would prefer a cheaper price to more storage any-day. If you want moe storage then you pay $99, otherwise this should cost no more than $49 per year. At the VERY MOST!!
Well, now Apple's onto your little scheme and they'll NEVER charge less!
Seriously, though, I doubt Apple cares what people are saying on the MacRumors forum. I'd of course like them to up the storage too, and what I really want is a spam filter in the webmail. It's why I never check my .mac account anymore. Way too much spam.

This is pretty sweet, and a good deal for apple, but i'd rather see airlines spend the money on putting standard outlets at each seat. Then i can charge my Macbook Pro, iPod, cellphone, camcorder or bring along a big firewire drive to get a start on my video editing with, ect. From the airlines point of view, i think it makes more sense to install something that most passengers would find useful instead of something that only Apple users find useful.
If this does happen tho, good for apple.

sweet :D welcome to the team in that case,
sidenote, hmmm mines been fetching a new WU for the last half hour, my iStat is showing no net usage or downloads :S any ideas whats going on?
hmm the log is showing no more work left :S i've just restarted F@H and selected the ' larger then 5Mb option ' but still nothing :S anyone else getting this?
Restarting should fix it but it may cough a few times or you can get rid of the queue.dat file to get it going again. if you are using the terminal start it with "./fah6 -config" and when you get to the part where it asks if you want to change advanced setting say yes and use defaults for everything, except say yes to scientific wu's, and it should give you something to work on. Scientific wu's are alpha and beta stage wu's which could have problems but usually finish ok for me.

You can't boot XP from CD on a Mac. You can't you can't you can't. The Mac boots using EFI, which XP doesn't support.
You need to use Boot Camp to install it, as legacy BIOS emulation has to be loaded specifically for XP.
if i am not mistaken the bios emulator (or whatever allows xp and the new vista build to boot from BIOS) is in the last firmware update 1.0 or 1.1, cant remeber the number... you dont need boot camp to install xp or vista, but you do need BC if you want an easy way to create a drivers disc for windows...

I didn't know who he was before I googled his name. Thought he was the model for Ken, from the Barbie range. (When he was younger) he looks like plastic.

All the other Cellular providers is no different. I cancelled Verizon because of the lack of customer support in their stores and I had constant dropped calls.
As as for buying the iPhone, I replaced my iPhone 3G with the 3GS through the Online Apple Store. Came to my front door in 3 days. NO headaches, NO problems.

The military and the Army has had a "dialogue" with Apple for years... pretty much every project involving a piece of field equipment has gone to another manufacturer because of durability concerns.
This is absolutely correct.
Hmmm... increasing their fashion sense in case Don't Ask Don't Tell is repealed?
I guess that puts you in the same category as those you are making fun of.

Oh wow, the corded ones have a usb jack? I only have the wireless one. Neat!
The corded model has two USB ports, one on each side. I connect my mouse in the left port and from now on USB drives in the right port.

My back is still killing me but at least i can sit for more than 30 minutes right now, expect the widget to change this week.
welcome back to folding dubbz!
As for the tracking of other folders and multiple instances.
It is indeed, as Flying Llama pointed out, an apple thing with the prefs. You should however be able to work around this by duplicating the widget in your library and giving it a different name. This will let you run different widgets in stead of different instances. No idea on the performance hit though, not at home/mac right now.
A 'target' option is in the make. It will let you track 3 folders or teams of your choice in one widget. Now how cool is that ;).

being a network admin for a medium business that is 100% Macs, i am extremely concerned by Lion and its lack of server ability. looking at Lion over the last few days has depressed me somewhat. there are ZERO changes to WGM and Server Admin - and the new Server thing is just a joke to admins in a professional environment.
so overall, i am rather dissapointed :(
There's no indication on Apple's Lion preview page that they're packaging a gutted server package with additional add-ons to be sold separately.
currently its all in the one bundle, but i believe they will charge extra for server essentials once they release it.
It's all speculation at this point, but a description like that makes it sound like ALL of Lion Server is included in each copy of Lion.
it kind of did! but it doesnt seem very apple :/

1. its obvious you have never used android
2. the xoom is an excellent device. those stating they think that having a dedicated tablet OS is silly is kidding themselves. How can you consider yourself a "power user" and be tripped up by honeycomb? Seriously, can you only operate touch screens' with grids? I would would submit facebook has a tougher learning curve than honeycomb, but stop with the comments already, 2.2/2.3/3.0 are very well done OS's
Ever since Android was released on phones I have been hearing that it "is just a release or two away from being a great OS". The reality is that most Android devices are extremely lucky if they get one upgrade ported to them by their carrier. I'll stick with an iPad2 rather than buying something and hoping that it improves with time.
i love all the dig's at honeycomb tablets and how apple is superior haha
- Off angle viewing - Who really cares how good it looks? Who wants to watch an ipad and not have it in front of you?
- finish
- idiot proof (soft of)
- simple read: limited

Hmm... I've held off on buying both a new phone and a new iPod for a while now, assuming that I'd want whatever phone Apple eventually comes out with, but the mention of battery life issues concerns me. If the battery goes dead on my iPod, no big deal, I don't listen to music until I charge it again. But if the battery goes dead on my phone, I could miss an important call. And if I have to monitor how much music I listen to to ensure that I can still receive calls, that might be a problem. Ideally, they could address this concern by having some software that told you well in advance that if you stop listening to music now, you still have so much time left on your phone.
No offense, but how many cell phone calls are really that important? None, given all the ones I overhear on a daily basis. :D
I could see a nifty little battery app on an iPod/iPhone device. Turn off music player when battery reaches x% or something like that.

And a Apple branded USB Thumb drive makes no sense cost wise! DVD makes much more sense as an installation media.
I don't think Apple will be bothered by a few bucks because Apple is the cash king.
OS media on the USB stick makes sense because it is a lot faster than DVD-ROM.
