President Obama has selected three foreign-born scholars to serve on his Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST). The first of the three immigrants on PCAST is Mario Molina. Professor Molina, a Mexican native, is the winner of the 1995 Nobel Prize in Chemistry. It was awarded based on his discovering the threat posed by CFCs to the ozone layer. Hello,
I have this situation and need some advice or if anyone can share their experiences.
H1b extension was denied with reason of "Employer-employee relationship". RFE was responded to (with requested pay stubs and W-2) and was still denied. Now, attorney from company is filing for MTR. How long does MTR processing take as the case was already existing? Does that matter or it doesn't? How long did it take to get a decision from CIS?
Is it possible to file MTR from company A (employer) and to file a new petition from company B (middle vendor who has direct contract with client)? Can the MTR be withdrawn in favor of a new petition?
Did anyone go for MTR and how many days did it take to get the decision?

My wife's EAD expires 10/10/08, she is currently on H4 but we filed last july and got our EAD/AP. I am planning to send her to india in May and she'll be back in November around 4th (AP expires Nov 19th).
Please help me with info on these questions?
1. Does she have to be in USA to apply for EAD renewal?
2. Can she apply for EAD renewal in May (5 months in advance), I know AP cant be applied before 4 months but dont know about this EAD.
3. Or Can EAD be applied after it expires also, if yes till howlong after it expires?
4. Also she'll come back on 4th Nov and applies for AP immediately, is this OK if she applies before expiry date of Nov 19th but doesn't get the approval? (I know that she cant travel until she has a visa in passport or AP again)
Thank you guys in advance.

Hi,
I applied for EAD renewal at NSC on 07/03/08 and today 08/06/2008, the status shows card production ordered. I applied for my wife along with me and her status shows still received.
Does the dependent (spouse) EAD in general get approved a few days after the primary applicants EAD is approved? I am not really using the EAD, its my wife who is using it, and thats the concern.

My I-485 is pending with EB3 Feb 2006 priority date. Invoked AC21 and currently working for a different employer. Have Masters degree and 9+ years of experience.
Is there a way to re-apply for Green Card under EB2 category thru a 3rd employer and retain the old EB3 priority date?

I am F-1 Student at a community college. At the same time, I am teaching at the college that I go to, since I have a Master's Degree....as I am allowed to work on campus 20 hours. The school is not willing to file H1b for me. But if there is another short cut....they might help me with that. Is there any way of receiving Green Card without going through the H1b?

No. You are forgetting the new applications in categories that are not backlogged (i.e., EB1, and EB2-row). They will essentially come in front of most applications that are in queue in back-logged categories (EB3 and EB2-[IC]).

Okay anyways, here is my entry. I drew this from a picture that was taken of me (left obviously) and my cousin in Disney World last June.
I'll scan it once I get my printer/scanner/cappuccino-maker all set up (just moved into a new place). I'll also scan the original photo so you can compare.
Anyways, I thought it turned out well, although I kind of look like a zombie and all my fingers look sort of broken. :lol:
